Choku-rei is the first and most commonly used Reiki symbol used for turning on the energy and to heal physical problems. It works especially well on horses. Human Receivers report feeling warmth and a deep sense of relaxation. In this relaxed state, bodies are allowed to find the healing they most need.
The Harmony Symbol, Sei-He-Ki, is used to balance and heal mental and emotional issues. This symbol brings forward buried emotional wounds and gives power and energy for transformation and transmutation. Even if the Receiver doesn't consciously recognize the event or trauma, this symbol heals mental and emotional wounding allowing physical and mental health and well-being.
Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen is used for healing remotely across any distance. This symbol, when used with the intention of healing all beings, on all levels, in all times and places creates multi-dimensional healing with truly profound effects. It is my personal favorite to work with because of the scope and range of its results.
There are three Dai-Ko-Mio symbols used in my Reiki tradition. They are a yin version, a yang version and a traditional version. These symbols are used by Master practitioners and heal at the soul and spirit levels. They help provide enlightenment, peace and boost intuition.

My big boy had a large, hot swollen lump on his rump. I’m not sure if he pulled a muscle or was kicked in the pasture but he was limping and clearly in pain. After 10 minutes of Reiki by Kristine, the swelling was visibly less and he was relaxing. After 20 minutes he walked off sound and I could barely see where the swelling had been and the heat at the site was gone. Wow!
